Foreign Economic relations Board (DEIK) The Turkish-American Business Council (TAIK) held its Annual Investment Conference named “Turkey Beyond 2008 “ in New York, on March, 17th, 2008, with the participation of H.E. Mehmet Simsek, Minister of State in charge of Economy, as a keynote speaker. The Conference sponsored by GE Money, Ata Invest and Garanti Securities attracted around 150 participants. The opening remarks were made by Ferit F. Sahenk, Chairman, TAIK (Turkish-US Business Council) of DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey) / Chairman, Dogus Group and M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, President, TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey) and DEIK.

In an effort to provide momentum to clean energy partnerships between the United States and Turkey, members of government, scientific and private sector communities gathered in Istanbul for the Turkish-American Clean Energy Technologies Conference. A U.S. delegation of 45 scientists, academics, members of the energy industry and representatives of the U.S. Department of Energy attended the meeting organized by the AmericanTurkish Council (ATC), the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DElK) and the Turkish-US. Business Council (TAlK).
